Each session includes a read‑aloud, a bat‑themed craft, snack, and a take‑home pot with seeds so kids can start their own mini pollinator garden at home. They’ll also paint rocks that will become part of the permanent pollinator garden at the pool, letting them leave their mark on a space the whole community will enjoy.
Bats are incredible helpers in our environment. They eat huge numbers of insects — especially mosquitoes — with a single bat able to eat up to 1,000 mosquitoes in an hour. By giving bats a safe place to roost in the new bat box, we support local wildlife and help keep mosquito levels down around the pool.
Space is limited so advance registration is encouraged. This is not a drop off event. Make it a day at Laurelwood!
